Elkamak Screw Washer
The Elkamak Screw Washer is a high-performance washing system designed to remove dust, clay and other impurities from sand and fine aggregate. It produces cleaner, higher-quality material ready for subsequent production stages.
Operating Principle
Material to be washed is transferred through the feed section into the water-filled washing trough. The rotating screw mixes the material with water, helping separate dust, clay and unwanted substances from its surface.
The continuous rotation of the screw carries the material upward through the washing trough at a controlled rate. Washing continues as the material advances, and the cleaned product is delivered to the discharge section.
Single- and Twin-Screw Options
Elkamak Screw Washers can be manufactured with single- or twin-screw configurations according to plant capacity and application requirements. Twin-screw systems provide effective mixing and conveying performance in applications with higher material flow.
